The Origin
Palo Santo belongs to the same botanical family as Frankincense and Myrrh. Its use dates back to the Inca Empire, where shamans known as Curanderos burned it in purification ceremonies and as an offering to the divine. What makes it sacred isn't just what it is — it's how it comes to be. The wood only develops its healing oils after the tree dies naturally and rests on the earth for years. It cannot be rushed. The medicine arrives in its own time.
